Designed from 50+ years in the field
Using our 50+ years servicing equipment in the field, we have designed our system to be both user friendly and service friendly. Many design considerations come from our experience and the feedback of our many customers over the years.
The original concept was to fill the hole in the market left by the sudden departure of the P4 and its larger counterpart, the P8. The VP nestles into the gap between the two, allowing full production quality with a tabletop footprint. It was very important to us to avoid the use of chipped/managed-care ink — though that remains an option if you prefer it.
Open ink, open options
The VP3.0 comes standard with 6 ink stalls in two banks of 3, allowing 3" of print area, and can be configured up to 12 ink stalls in 4 banks of 3 (the VP6.0). It comes standard with Xijet ink technology and accommodates any HP45-style ink cartridge. Not going with chipped ink allows a massive variety of options — OEM, remanufactured, water-based, solvent-based, standard and custom colors — at a significant savings. Most times it is the exact same ink, in a much more economical cartridge.
