Using our 50+ years servicing equipment in the field, we have designed our system to be both user friendly and service friendly. Many design considerations come from our experience and the feedback of our many customers over the years.
It was very important to us to avoid the use of chipped/managed-care ink. We strongly believe the lack of a non-proprietary ink option is a disservice to our customers — though chipped ink remains an option if you prefer it.
Any HP45-style cartridge
The VP-S comes standard with 4 ink stalls in two banks of 2, allowing 2" of print area, with Xijet ink technology accommodating any HP45-style cartridge. That opens a massive variety of ink options — OEM, remanufactured, water-based, solvent-based, standard and custom colors — at a significant savings over the chipped option. Most times it is the exact same ink, in a much more economical cartridge.
